Asset DLM is at the core of a system launched recently for Nintendo UK.

Wakefield, Yorkshire – 24 June 2007

Yorkshire-based digital logistics agency eleventeenth today announced it has signed a three year deal to provide the online marketing and press office resource for Nintendo UK, whose DS is the most widespread gaming platform in the UK owned by more than 3.1 million customers, and whose Wii is now close to 450,000 units in the UK since launch, continually exceeding supply.

Nintendo’s new trade site features a secure integrated online digital asset management and distribution system, part of eleventeenth’s new application platform for the gaming and entertainment industries, Entertainment DLM (Digital Logistics Manager).

“This new press and trade website will help our sales and marketing teams ensure that key contacts and media can quickly and easily get the information they want,” commented Robert Saunders, Head of PR at Nintendo UK.

The new site holds the marketing and product assets, such as press releases, images, movies and reference numbers, for upcoming Nintendo games in an online database which is accessible to internal and external registered users. Users can include media contacts, retailers and trade partners, brand managers, product managers, marketing and PR staff.

“Thanks to eleventeenth's proven expertise in creating online systems that manage the marketing of products, we can see that this resource will become a one stop shop for Nintendo product information and assets and will help us to ensure that our products top the charts,” added Robert.

As well as the embargoing of assets ahead of a launch, the release of assets can be staggered, providing a means of making assets available to certain groups of contacts ahead of general users. The ability to track assets and attach a usage licence to individual assets ensures that users will be clear on the terms of usage when exclusivity terms are placed on them. There is also a range of online reporting tools, which show which users have requested downloads, and whether these have subsequently been downloaded, to facilitate proactive marketing tactics and future campaign planning.

“The flexible structure of Entertainment DLM’s digital asset management system ensures that companies can adapt the way they use the information to suit their own marketing processes,” added Marcus Dyson, CEO at eleventeenth. “That is why it is now used by the top gaming companies globally, facilitating collaboration across their territories, to ensure that they get their marketing information and collateral to the right people at the right time.”

eleventeenth’s new DLM application platform is a development of eleventeenth’s extWare product range, bringing together a range of configurable components into one fully integrated platform including e-commerce fulfillment and delivery, online reporting, cataloguing, marketing, publishing and the distribution of digital assets over the web.
